Electrical surplus review

Before you scrap electrical equipment, review its reuse potential

A complete piece of equipment may have value beyond its metal weight. Industrial Reclaim reviews electrical surplus from individual items, large inventories and facility projects across the U.S. Send the details before dismantling equipment intended for sale.

Have a shutdown or removal deadline? Include the date, location and current installation status with your inquiry.

What helps us evaluate the opportunity?

Identify the equipment

  • Equipment type, manufacturer, model and quantity
  • Clear nameplate photos and available ratings
  • New, used, stored or damaged condition
  • City and state, ownership and authority to sell

Incomplete information is welcome. Share what you have so we can identify useful follow-up details.

Keep the package together

  • Photos of complete units and matching components
  • Available drawings, manuals and test records
  • Missing parts, damage or known condition issues
  • Access restrictions and release or removal dates

Do not operate, disconnect or remove installed equipment for an inquiry. Site personnel and qualified contractors should control any required work.

Start with the right equipment or project

Switchgear and switchboards · Transformers · Motor control centers · Circuit breakers · Wire and cable · Generators · Controls and automation

For mixed inventories, canceled projects or warehouse cleanouts, use our bulk surplus review. For equipment still installed at a closing or changing facility, review our decommissioning guidance and share the site scope.

Review first, then agree on the details

We assess specifications, condition, completeness, market demand and logistics. A review does not guarantee an offer. For accepted inventory, purchase terms, payment arrangements, pickup, loading and any removal responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.

Questions before scrapping equipment

Is every item worth more than scrap value?

No. Reuse potential depends on the equipment, specifications, condition, completeness and demand. Photos and nameplates help us determine whether a further review makes sense.

Can I send older or damaged equipment?

Yes, you can submit it for review. Identify missing parts, damage and known issues clearly. Acceptance and pricing depend on the actual inventory and agreed terms.

What if equipment is still installed?

Send photos, location, installation status, access restrictions and the removal deadline. Removal scope and responsibilities require separate review; do not dismantle equipment simply to request an evaluation.

Have equipment that may still be reusable?

Send photos, nameplates, quantities and location through the existing quote form. For a larger project, include an inventory list and the release or removal schedule if available.
